Working with Medical Insurance

Insurance Billing for MTs and Intake Protocols and SOAP Charting for Medical Massage You will receive a certificate of completion for the morning session for 3 CE hours and for the afternoon session for 3 CE hours. NC only allows you to count 3 hours of business toward your renewal requirements for one renewal period; however if you are renewing this Novemeber you may use one of the 3 hour certificates for this renewal period and one for next renewal period. You need to take both morning and afternoon sessions in order to have any success with billing insurance.

Morning Session: An introduction to billing insurance, including how to collaborate with other health care providers, how to get reimbursed for massage, how to fill out claim forms….the good, the bad, and the ugly about major medical, Worker’s Comp, and personal injury claims.

Afternoon Session: Intake Protocols and SOAP Charting for Medical Massage—3 CE Contact Hours.  The intake forms and SOAP charting that most of us learned in massage school won’t satisfy the insurance companies. If you want to successfully bill insurance, then you need to take your professionalism in these two areas to the next level.
