For workshops- water is provided. There is no eating in the classroom, but there is a dining area right next door which you are free to use. No refrigerator, so bring a cooler if you need to keep your food and beverages cool. Starbucks is right next door to the hotel and has a drive-through, so coffee is available there. Please only cups with lids in the classroom area. Many eating establishments near-by. Restrooms are directly across the hall from the classroom.

For sleeping rooms at the hotel, includes breakfast, Internet, Pool. Food and entertainment close by. Newly renovated hotel. Lots of eateries nearby. A very nice hotel- all who have stayed here have been satisfied.

Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is about 25 minutes drive. Taxis, Uber, and car rentals are all available at the airport. It is approximately $35 for a taxi to the hotel.

Public transportation is limited outside of downtown Raleigh. If you wish to sightsee in downtown Raleigh, there are busses (the R line).

Tourism has much to offer in the area, including the Greenway for hikers, many historic buildings and museums, concerts, gardens, art festivals and galleries, street festivals with free music, etc. For information, try this offical tourism site for Raleigh. The North Carolina Museum of Art is quite beautiful and is located in NorthWest Raleigh- it has special exhibits, a lovely restaurant, outdoor permanent and special exhibits and walks. For information about parks and the Greenway, click here.

The Triangle Town Center Mall is directly north of the Hampton Inn. A large indoor mall with shopping, restaurants, and a food court, the mall opens early for walkers.

There are several very nice hotels nearby; go to the Marriott or Hilton hotel sites online and look for hotels that indcate they are near the "Triangle Town Center Mall." You can also get lodging in downtown Raleigh, which is a 15-20-minute drive from the hotel. Try to stay closer to the middle of downtown or the more northern areas that are within the beltline (Route 440 which circles Raleigh) or just north of it and you will be closer to the class location and avoid any bad areas. If you stay in downtown proper, there is free public transportation for sightseers and no car is necessary. This might be helpful if a family member is coming with you to the class, as they can easilly entertain themselves while you are in class.

For classes held at the Dynamic Equilibrium Home Office in Youngsville

Click here to see hotels near the office. The address is 309 Oakwood Ct., Youngsville, NC 27596 (About 30 minutes north of Raleigh). Some maps and gps devices will say Oakwood Dr. and that is OK. The Hampton Inn is a very nice hotel. I have not seen the other options, but all of them are about 20 minutes from my place. You can use the plus and minus signs on the map to zoom in and to zoom out. Falls Lake State Park has camping if that something you like to do.

There is only one place nearby I can recommend for lunch that is close enough to get to in our limited lunch break. I highly recommend that you bring lunch. I have a microwave and a refrigerator, and hot water for tea. Please do not plan on cooking, however. I have found that ties up the kitchen too much when there is a group of people. There is ample seating outside and inside.

Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is about 45 minutes drive. Car rentals are available at the airport- you may wish to share with another student to save money. Public transportation is limited outside of downtown Raleigh.

The office is located on 1 1/2 acres with woods on 2 sides, a pine forest for a front yard, a stream, 3 decks and a pool. A lovely place to have an energy work class. We do have a couple of neighbors so there is always a possibility of someone mowing their lawn, however. We have 2 cats, so if you are allergic you may not want to come to this class. There is ample parking and while we live on a hill, the house and back yard have few stairs.

Here are a couple of photos of the property:
